July 31st FRIDAY july 31st FRIDAYFRIDAYFRIDAYFRIDAYFRIDAY july 31st not august 1st. NOT AUGUST 1st friday july 31st. Celebrate Virginia, for those of you that don't know, is a series that is new to my home town of Fredericksburg. It is held in a field near but not in the mega shopping area called central park. The area where it is held was once cleared for an international blvd which was supposed hold stores and restaurants from around the world. The only thing that is really down that road is the field for the show and field across from It which is used for parking. It’s somewhat separate from everything around there which gives the show its own vibe and feel. DJ one drop (aka moe marsh) will be spinning groovy records before and between sets. The show will be primarily solo with a few of Fredericksburg’s finest local musicians for special sit ins. Did I mention that it is happening on FRIDAY JULY 31st? Ignore any and all signs or flyers that say saturday august 1st. I've been very lucky to be able to attend 4 of these concerts. The P.A. System is top notch with flown speakers for incredible sound. There are plenty of clean porta-potties with never a wait. Beer, wine, food, ice cream and a big ole blow up bouncy thing for the kids will be available (My daughter loves that thing). I'm more than excited to be apart of this series as I feel it is something my town desperately needs. Like everything else, it needs to be supported. So even if you don't come to my show, on JULY 31st doors at 6 show around 6:30 or 6:45 to 9:30 or ten., then come to one of the many that are happening every friday.
