That 1 Guy

I did a show the other night in Dallas with "That 1 Guy". The first time I saw him was at the evolve fest in nova scotia. But the show I did with him really slapped me in the face with the realization that this 1 guy is a genius. He plays a one of a kind, 2-string contraption made from 2 thick metal cylinders that are possibly used for industrial or under-ground piping.

He has sample triggers all over it and packs the intensity of a full-blown rock show. The music is slightly dark with elements of "zappa"esque vocals. The show is packed with visual art including magic tricks and illusions. I'm tempted to describe in detail but I'd rather you feel the experience and absorb the surprises for yourself. He's currently on a massive 5-month driving tour. Chances are he's playing close by. Go.

You are right, he is beyond awesome.  According to his website, it looks  like he is doing a regular Vegas show. I may have to get over there and watch it! 

That1Guy in Spearfish SD - Cinco de Mayo

I live in Spearfish South Dakota and we don't get a whole lot of  music here other than local bands. Fortunately we are home to a great promoter who does his best to bring in some regional and national bands. Tonight (Cinco de Mayo) we are welcoming the return of That1Guy to our town. Saw him here once before and he's friggin amazing and hilarious, not to mention a genius! Can't wait to see him again and if you EVER see he's playing anywhere close to where you're at, do yourself a huge favor and go see him.

YESSSS!! "That 1 Guy" is amazing!! Seen him twice, and it's an incredible show!! Luckily, I seen him at a small bar on a weeknight  and hardly anyone  was there. So I got the chance to be up close and really saw how much of a genius That 1 Guy REALLY is.

I like the term "buttmachine". It really is a machine!

I see a lot of buttmachines, daily, ya' know, people workin' their buttmachines...

I could envision the Keller / That 1 Guy show.

I just seen his Buttmachine video yesterday for the first time and I was blown away...definitely gonna check him out if I get a chance
