"Still Running" Single by Ella Williams ft. Keller Williams out now!

This past winter, I was asked by the fine folks of the Spirit Of Football organization, who had seen me perform with my daughter, Ella, at Floydfest, if I would be interested in writing a new theme song for them that was about soccer and climate change. I thought about it for about 2 minutes and said, nope, not in my wheelhouse. I was about to pass when Ella said let me take a stab at it and came up with the song “Still Running”. We sent them a rough recording and they loved it. I then took her into Wally Cleaver's Recording studio with my long time friend/producer, Jeff Covert, and we gave her all kinds of ideas on what to do with the song…..all of which she promptly rejected. This is 100% her version and I couldn’t be more proud. Jeff is playing drums and I’m on bass with my harmonies tucked way in the back. I just about lost my mind, Dewey Cox style, creating a world beat dance remix, using the raw vocal tracks of the tune. With Ella's permission, it will hopefully appear on her streaming pages in about 6ish months. On the unfortunate event that she doesn't give her blessing, it shall appear on the YouTube's of your google boxes when she's not lookn'. Kw

⚽️ Spirit of Football is a non profit organization that essentially takes a soccer ball around the world, much like the Olympic Torch, every four years to be signed by world leaders, athletes, musicians and every day folks. By signing the ball, you are making a pledge to do your part for the climate crisis and to promote fair play and gender equality in sports. They have been doing this since 2002, each time with a different focus, this time its climate action and The Ball will end up at the Women's World Cup in Australia. Their kick off event is on July 10th in Battersea Park in London and Ella and I are making our way there this week to perform “Still Running” live. One Ball, One World!
