2003 / KELLER WILLIAMS
Home was supposed to be my first project done at Wally Cleavers Recording studio with producer/engineer Jeff Covert, however the sessions were interrupted by the Dance record, so technically Dance was the first project done and completed at Wally Cleavers, but it was in the middle of the Home sessions, so there. I decided to take it upon myself to play all the instruments, be it good or bad. This was the idea and this is what happened. Since this album, and as I write this in 2014, I have done nine other projects as well as 182 episodes of my radio show “Keller’s Cellar”. Needless to say, I have spent a lot of time with Jeff Covert in his studio. My wife really likes this record because there are no cover songs to pay royalties on every quarter. A lot of these songs still show up regularly in my set lists. The cover photo is of the train bridge over the Rappahannock River in Fredericksburg, taken by my friend Bo Hubbard with the type of old school camera that you look down on. He and I shot Roman candles off of that train bridge when we were teenagers, which is highly illegal and I do not recommend.
